Undisclosed Kickbacks And Commissions
You probably don't know it... but... a lot of real estate investing seminar presenters get secret kickbacks or commissions from the property investment recommendations they make to their students. Or worse yet, these real estate investment seminar presenters offload apartments and townhouses from their own developments to their students! Can you believe that? Sure, they claim they're good deals. But the truth is, mostly they are great deals for the promoters, but very poor deals for the investor or student!
Listen: when a real estate seminar presenter makes a profit from the recommendations he gives... he is NOT acting in your best interests. He's acting in his own. Period.
Insider Tip: Don't attend any real estate seminar... or purchase any 'info product' from a real estate investing seminar presenter who makes a profit from his recommendations! A true educator will teach you how to do it yourself whereas a salesperson will only recommend what they have to sell.
Hidden Secret #2:
They Haven't Made Money From Their Own Investments
If the first secret isn't dirty enough... this one is even worse! Would you believe, many of these real estate seminar presenters haven't actually made money from their own real estate investments? It's crazy but true. Don't believe me? Next time you're at a real estate seminar, ask for evidence of their profitable investments. I bet dollars to donuts you'll get some B.S. excuse as to why this information ISN'T available to you.
The fact is that many of these real estate investing seminar presenters make HUGE money by selling properties they have a financial interest in to their students. They don't make money by buying and holding real estate in their own right for their own investment purposes. In other words they are not practising what they preach.
How do I know this? 2 reasons: Firstly I worked in the investment real estate industry for a short time in 1997. Most of the people I worked with, were on the bones of their backsides financially, and were desperately holding out for their next commission cheque. They were prepared to do anything and tell any lie in order to get their next sale. Some had been bankrupt and almost all of them pretended to be well off by wearing gold watches, jewellery and by driving luxury cars when in fact they were nothing of the sort. It didn't take me long to work out that I had a different set of ethics to these people and that this was not where I wanted to be. In fact, it was this experience that helped me discover my life purpose and mission which is to: Live and Teach the Principles of True Wealth.
It was this experience that made me want to teach ordinary, everyday, hard working, honest people how to manage their money better and build wealth. It was this experience that made me write my first book, How To Be Rich & Happy On Your Income which became a best-seller in August 1998 and has now been published in several countries around the world.
It was this experience that compelled me to put together a real estate investing course that anyone can follow, understand and succeed with. This course covers the exact same strategies that I personally use in building and expanding my own multi million-dollar property portfolio. Let's say you find a real estate seminar presenter that DOES have a proven record of building wealth in real estate. That's still not good enough. Any goon and his dog could have made money the last few years in real estate... with luck alone!
No. The real test for these real estate seminar presenters is if they've built wealth over the longer term. I'm talking 10, 15 even 20 years. But you won't find many. Why? Because they're all too young! Or, because they became greedy and lost the lot! Some claim to have become multi-millionaires following their bankruptcy. That's not exactly a lesson you want to learn, is it?
Insider Tip: Only learn from somebody who has experienced, survived and prospered through interest rates as high as 18% and more. This way you'll know for sure that THEIR strategies will truly stand the test of time, no matter what happens in the market, because the last thing you'll want to do is buy property and be forced to sell it at a loss because you've been educated the wrong way.
